Addon Aircraft & Single Missions

Hey all, got a quick question. Is there by any chance a way to get addon planes into the single missions included with the game? (i.e., the 1on1 missions, Carrier Take-off, etc.) I'd just love to take up a supersonic modern fighter against a MiG-17. (yeah, I'm unfair like that :p)

What I mean is, is there a way to add aircraft to the dropdown list of planes you can pick to fly (at the loadout screen) when you join a mission.

Well yes how else do you pick the plane you want to fly. You are going to have to explain it better you lost me. You cant pick what you fly against. The sim does that for you.

I guess I should better explain it...

 

You know that dropdown list in the loadout menu, just above the loadout picture of the plane currently selected? Is there any way to add other planes to that list? It usually has the F-4 series, the Crusader, the Super Sabre, and (IIRC) the two A-7 variants, or (I believe) the attack planes for Strike/CAS/Armed Recon/Etc. missions.

 

If this is still ambiguous-like, I'll try to get some pictures.

I know what he's talking about, and think it's a good question.

 

So, you go to singles and pick out an A-10, fire up a strike mission in, say Germany.

 

In singles it's cool, as you can pick which aircraft you want as wingman, or yourself even. But the drop-down list

is limited. It seems to depend on the type of mission you chose, the aircraft, or something, but never refelcts the

entire gamut of aircraft you have installed.

 

Figuring out how to widen that variety would be rockin'!

You mean like this F-15???...the little sob, still turned inside and gave me a burst prior to me going to Zone 5, getting some distance and taking him with a sparrow.

 

you can edit the mission in question, But you have to have the AC you want already in your AC folders.

example:F4J vs Mig17 Open the mission with notepad and make the changes you need.

If your gonna dup it, make your own mission. See the Tutorial on the mission editor. And check with the veteran mission builders in here. See some of the missions posted already and that will help you out.

Good Luck. Oh and one more thing.......never, ever try and turn with a Mig...LOL

Huh, I guess it's not possible (at least not without a lot of digging trhough files) to add more than one plane to 'The List'. Kind of stinks, no?

well sir, dont know what to tell ya. Depending upon what AC you have DL'd in addition to the stock AC it obviously does work. In my own SF depending on the type of mission I choose CAS, Strike etc.... "my list" shows a UH-1B, F-15C, F-5E, EA-6B among others to choose from. The same for WOV. Now if your talking WOE I cant tell ya, but see no reason why it wouldnt work there also.

Adding a plane from that list depends on the year the aircraft was availible and the mission you are on. I do it all the time.
