Try the 3 values in bold below, it came from the "hardcore" flight model, I think. I'll try to find it here at the CombatAce. Its kinda fun to fly.

Look at DampingFactor, set it high like 1.5 or something. I think this makes the bounce stop.

ShockStroke=0.15

SpringFactor=2.5

DampingFactor=1.8

I tried yours values Lexx_Luthor, but mig still jumps.

I have Mig-17PF_DATA.ini, but it is not stock Mig-17F_DATA.ini. It is file downloaded from CA. But it is original (downloaded) PFU_DATA.ini file.

Mig-17PF is not good like Mig-17F. That is reason, that I am not using stock Mig-17F. It is not problem improve stock Mig-17F to Mig-17PF_DATA.ini.

OK, Mig jumps, but that is not big problem to fly this Mig variant. In the air is PF deadly to american bombers like Skyhawk or fighter bombers like Phantom. And that is radar Mig goal :tongue:

Thanx Lexx_Luthor and eraser_tr to your help!!!

I will try some next .ini changes, but in the air is Mig really BULLDOG!!!

Have a nice day guys :biggrin:

Try adding or altering this line in the *data.ini file (you will need to play unless you have the MAX files)

---Snip------

[AircraftData]

EmptyMass=288.6

EmptyInertia=569.11,672.07,1144.94

ReferenceArea=15.55

ReferenceSpan=9.20

ReferenceChord=1.68

CGPosition=0.00,0.0,0.00

OnGroundPitchAngle=10.4 <--------------------------this line

UseMetricUnit=TRUE

DefaultArmorType=WOOD

DefaultArmorThickness=25

Component[001]=fuselage

Component[002]=TopWingLeft

Component[003]=TopWingRight

Component[004]=TopWingMidLeft

Component[005]=TopWingMidRight

Component[006]=TopWingTipLeft

Component[007]=TopWingTipRight

Component[008]=tail

Component[009]=Nose

Component[010]=Verttail

Component[011]=RightStab

Component[012]=LeftStab

---Snip------

It sets the initial pitch angle on the ground between the gear contact points

Fixes on runway "falling" in first eagles so it should work in WOV

Found it....17PF Nose

http://www.avsim.com/ ..... goto File Library -- StrikeFighters Mods, Utilities and Patches --

To make it *easy* , Change View from Normal Mode to Scan Mode -- this lists all 370 downloads in only 4 pages with no pictures.

Macaddie's -17PF nose is buried deep inside More MiGs[ by Lucas Sexton, on page 3 in Scan Mode.

kuk::

hehe yes....Pitchfork, ouch

To Delta6Actual: I had the same problem, but Lexx_Luthor found Mig-17PF nose at Avsim library. So take a look up and try it

:grin:

I'm happy to downloadable Hungaryan fulcrum skin, but it's not correct.

search the internet ,and see: thenose and lower side light grey,with a PAINTED FALSE CANOPY...

What think about You? I cerated Low visible Hun insignia (grey scale colours), maybe it is used now on Fulcrum, and Gippen.

WRENCH

// Crew ---------------------------

:

:

[RadarNose]

SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT

SeatID=2

PilotModelName=17PF

Position=0.0,3.90,-0.11

:

:

Works perfect. Just put the 17PF lod and 17PFU bmp in the Aircraft folder.

No loadouts, no jammers, no editors.

However, with this method, the 17PFU lod won't use the 17PFU skin. I just noticed, Macaddie's PF nose lod is about double the size of Pasko's original PFU nose lod. For some reason, the PFU lod just won't use the skin and goes naked. There is a workaround: Use the PFU but also a PF (which works with skin). Best to move the PFU nose back a tiny bit to minimized the shimmering.

This is how I tried the -17PFU...

[RadarNose]

SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT

SeatID=2

PilotModelName=17PFU

Position=0.0,3.88,-0.11

SeatModelName=17PF

SeatPosition=0.0,3.90,-0.11

Just a little bit of shimmering between the two LOD's happens inside the intake. Not too bad.
