Patch killed my framerates!

Recommended Posts

DOH!!!!!!! I need to undo something in that patch - can you think of anything that would cause framerates to drop like a rock? previously this sim was "as smooth as glass" on my computer!

bubu,

Any number of things. Mirrors, Lens Flare, multiple SAMS etc etc. Which sim? and what are your settings in the options menu?

Other than the settings in both grpahics and sound, (esp. the new water detail setting), I wonder if any of the new dll's do indeed require more system resources...

worse come to worse, it's time to reduce all those cool looking graphics settings :sorry: the thrills, joys, and sacrifices one makes

WOV with all previous service packs and patches applied

1GB RAM/ 256MB Nvidia graphics, computer just over 2 yrs old

most graphics settings were maxed out and it ran just fine - ok maybe it had a little framing right in the battle area when I got real close, but that was it.
