WOV Patch 4 and wepons pack

Recommended Posts

Well,I´m new here, but I really loved this game.

I would like to know 3 things.

This patch 4 for WOV,can I install it if you have some add on planes installed or I must remove the add-ons,install the patch and reinstall the planes?

With that I will be allowed to play with planes like WWII ones?

This wepons pack 1.00....How it works?

And all these aircraft can be used for all games (WOE,WOV,SF)?

You need to back up any modified files before you install the patch, so yes- in a manner of speaking you will have to reinstall. Installing the patch will erase any aircraft you added and reset the files to the stock settings. Therefore make sure you back up any planes/terrrains/effects you have downloaded before you patch. That way you just have to copy them over from whatever folder you used to back them up.

Just download and install the weapons pack. It comes with installation instructions. It gives you access to most of the third party weapons that have been released.

Most aircraft can be used with all the games, but there are some limits. For example, the A-6A from WOV can't be copied over to SFP1. But most third party planes can be used in all the games.

With the service Packs its normally best to start again with a clean install of the game if you have modified your game a lot.

If the only mods you have done are to add some 3rd party planes then you can patch it and they will still be there - the service pack adds and changes only some of the files.

If you are not sure then copy/backup your entire existing game folder (with all the files) over to another folder - then do a fresh install. You can then move anything from the existing folder you just copied over back into the new install.

Note: With SP4 you will need the latest version of the weapons editor to add extra weapons.
