GodSaveTheUSA73 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I have the newest weapons pack and patched to the latest version. But when I try and run it it says "Windows has encountered a problem with the program" and shuts down. Could there be a problem with SF and Vista OS? If not then how should I go about fixing such problem?
+NeverEnough Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Check for other inquiries about Thirdwire sim compatibility with Vista. I remember reading TK saying that the Thirdwire programs are not presently Vista compatible. Being an early adopter of Microsoft products can be a real adventure!
+Fubar512 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Try this: Go into your Objects/Weapons folder, and delete the existing weapondata.dat file (as it may be corrupt). Using the latest weapon editor, open up the weapondata.ini file, and save it, so as to generate a new weapondata.dat. Close the weapon editor, and try running the game again. Update: I did not notice that you were running Vista. Sony Tuckson mentioned that he'd managed to get SF to riun in Vista by installing the latest DX9.0C.
GodSaveTheUSA73 Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 SF runs awesome in Vista. But when I add the Weapons Pack it messes it all up. I will try what you said. Thanks
