+Fates 63 Posted March 23, 2007 In the closed multiplayer beta gamers can get their first taste of the map CALAVERA, a map created exclusively for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 PC. The new Recon vs. Assault mode will have players fight their way through this Mexican village near the US border. As a member of the elite Ghost squad, gamers will need to use all of their know-how and expertise to stay hidden and sneak through small winding roads to locate and engage the enemy. As a Mexican rebel, players must be prepared to engage the Ghosts, using high calibre fire power, and must stop them at all cost. +Fates 63 Posted March 23, 2007 BTW... The Mexican government will seize all copies of it as well....so they say. http://gamepolitics.com/2007/03/23/mexican...opies-of-graw2/
+EricJ 4,246 Posted March 24, 2007 lol yet the Russians didnt' try and seize Ghost Recon, etc. I never liked the whole Mexico thing anyways, Europe is where it's at really, leave the hechos alone..
JediMaster 451 Posted March 26, 2007 Whatever. Is every game supposed to take place in San Machismo, Kerplakistan, or Central Republic of the Gibbon? Real world locations are useful.
+Fates 63 Posted March 26, 2007 How come it's never the Bahamas? Wait....there was that killer game Far Cry...way kool
JediMaster 451 Posted March 27, 2007 There's no room in the Bahamas! However, you can imagine the casinos in R6V are in the Bahamas...or anywhere in the world, really.
+EricJ 4,246 Posted March 28, 2007 Yeah but the thing is, I've been and seen quite a lot of desert, and fixiing later on this year to see more. So yeah there's a little aversion to constant desert, but as long as the San Machismo, Kerplakistan, or Central Republic of the Gibbon countries have no desert I'll be okay. I'll more than likely get GRAW 2, but given the paltry modding scene for GRAW, I don't have much hope.

JediMaster 451 Posted March 29, 2007 Me either. I played a lot of GRAW last fall and winter, once the OGR coop patch came out, but the existing maps got old fast and new maps tended to be very low quality. Then you had ones with retarded respawning enemies (you would see them do it, and sometimes right next to you!) and 25 snipers in one block...they got old even faster. I'll probably get GRAW2, but seeing the way people are talking about GRAW2 on the 360 I'm not sure it will be sufficiently better.
+EricJ 4,246 Posted March 29, 2007 Yeah I never got into much of the online scene, mainly because I don't bother, but I agree, same old stuff gets boring fast, and just got tired of replaying the missions. Even hooking them up with more enemies, changing the stuff got stale because that's all I could do. Even one person got around to trying to make a mission from the ground up and still AFAIK (haven't checked honestly) not released. There's no rush really. +EricJ 4,246 Posted April 5, 2007 Just a note, I got an email this morning in asking to be part of the closed beta team. It was really more of a survey, but I'm likely to get a slot. I'm just too cool
+EricJ 4,246 Posted April 7, 2007 Thanks, though I feel all my bashing of GRAW probably made an enemy out of me, so they're sticking it to me by trying to hold me down, screw The Man!
