GRAW 2 PC Beta in April

Recommended Posts

In the closed multiplayer beta gamers can get their first taste of the map CALAVERA, a map created exclusively for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 PC.

The new Recon vs. Assault mode will have players fight their way through this Mexican village near the US border. As a member of the elite Ghost squad, gamers will need to use all of their know-how and expertise to stay hidden and sneak through small winding roads to locate and engage the enemy. As a Mexican rebel, players must be prepared to engage the Ghosts, using high calibre fire power, and must stop them at all cost.

The return of Team Deathmatch will challenge players and their friends to a fight a fight where everything is possible; explore, engage and terminate.

Registration for the closed multiplayer beta for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 on PC will begin in early April 2007

Whatever. Is every game supposed to take place in San Machismo, Kerplakistan, or Central Republic of the Gibbon?

Real world locations are useful.

There's no room in the Bahamas! However, you can imagine the casinos in R6V are in the Bahamas...or anywhere in the world, really.

Yeah but the thing is, I've been and seen quite a lot of desert, and fixiing later on this year to see more. So yeah there's a little aversion to constant desert, but as long as the San Machismo, Kerplakistan, or Central Republic of the Gibbon countries have no desert I'll be okay. I'll more than likely get GRAW 2, but given the paltry modding scene for GRAW, I don't have much hope.

Me either. I played a lot of GRAW last fall and winter, once the OGR coop patch came out, but the existing maps got old fast and new maps tended to be very low quality. Then you had ones with retarded respawning enemies (you would see them do it, and sometimes right next to you!) and 25 snipers in one block...they got old even faster.

I'll probably get GRAW2, but seeing the way people are talking about GRAW2 on the 360 I'm not sure it will be sufficiently better.

Yeah I never got into much of the online scene, mainly because I don't bother, but I agree, same old stuff gets boring fast, and just got tired of replaying the missions. Even hooking them up with more enemies, changing the stuff got stale because that's all I could do. Even one person got around to trying to make a mission from the ground up and still AFAIK (haven't checked honestly) not released. There's no rush really.

Just a note, I got an email this morning in asking to be part of the closed beta team. It was really more of a survey, but I'm likely to get a slot. I'm just too cool

Thanks, though I feel all my bashing of GRAW probably made an enemy out of me, so they're sticking it to me by trying to hold me down, screw The Man!
