RAF Jaguars OSD* brought forward to 30th April :(

Recommended Posts

After 33 years of service all operationally orientated training will cease on this date & any ceremonial flying must be done by the end of May.

Things looked ugly on the ground, but they sure do a number in the air!

a combination of things (Tornados, Harriers, Predator) really cover the CAS & reconnaisance role but there were already just a handful of Jaguars still in service being operated by 6 Squadron.

6 squadron will reform with Typhoons at my local base, RAF Leuchars, ~ the end of the year supposedly.

Nopegrin.gif. Jaguars along with MiG-27s form the backbone of IAF's offensive strike fleet.

These upgraded Jags can be considered as the ultimate version of the Jaguar family. Note presence of ESM bumps on the nose, deletion of starboard cannon, new LRMTS window.
