F-14D: No Afterburner Effects

I installed the above model by Typhoid, and it is beautiful, but has no afterburner effects.

 

Also the engine sound does not kick-in until you go to the AB.

 

Anyone have any suggestions.

It might be that you do not have the appropriate files in your effects folder.

 

The F-14 doesn't use the stock effects.

The F-14D uses the F-14 Afterburner Emitter, which is included with the Mirage Factory F-14A package. Install the Mirage Factory F-14A, and you'll be good to go!

absolutely correct, it is a minor variation of the MF F-14A and it works best if you go there first. Also try the F-14A+ and the Tomcat 21.
