Starfighter Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 OK, so I've got the latest patch and service pack installed for SFP1. I also pulled the weapons pack from 03 July 2006 and installed it. I then followed that up with the F-104C and F-104C-10. I've got a sneaking suspicion that the F-104C has an incomplete loadout, because about all I can pick is F-84F rocket packs from the Korean War and some drop tanks for various aircraft. If I read it right, that's all I can choose throughout the aircraft's availability. Secondly, the F-104C-10 behaves funnily between player and AI aircraft. I can't load wingtip AIM-9s, but the AI apparently did; I saw the second ship in my flight carrying them. Meanwhile, I get the choice of drop tanks. Everything else seems fine---lots of unguided ordnance and a centerline B61 are available. So er, what gives? My highly uneducated guess is that I need to tinker with loadouts, but the specific changes I need to make are beyond me. Can anyone help? Meanwhile, does anyone know of a Vietnam F-104 campaign? +suhsjake Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 In the f104C_data.ini, scroll down to the weapons stations and check the attachment type. If it says NATO, then change it to USAF. That should fix it. Also check the knowledge base for wrench's loadout fixes, that should help a bunch. Quote

Shows you how to modify the data and loadout.inis for the specific F-104s you are asking about. You need to learn about the following topics: How to extract files from your .CAT files. Extracting the data and loadout .ini files for your specific aircraft. Extracting the campaign files, specifically the campaign and campaign_data.ini files. Then look at the campaign_data.ini files and learn what each aircraft entry means. It's actually very simple to substitute aircraft in campaigns. FastCargo Quote

I think I looked at all of the loadouts, and there didn't seem to be one for the two TAC birds. I could be wrong, though. The SFP Wiki doesn't have anything for them, either. Bother. Starfighter Posted July 5, 2007 Author Posted July 5, 2007 Oh, splendid. What did you do specifically to adjust that tank? I'd be likely to put the thing on top of the wing or level with the tail if I tried to eyeball it. Quote
