it just add plane on airfield on the verdun terrain

 

drop it in the verdun terrain

 

and add all the static plane from the flanders terrain folder in the verdun folder too

I love the idea but after 5 runs I have yet to see any planes on the Airfields. Did you stack planes at each field or only some of them? I may have just been un-lucky and didn't get to an airfield that had planes perhaps or something...

 

edit: If I am seeing this right I think you may need to copy the XXXX.lod and some bmp files from the Flanders terrain and put them in your verdun floder so they can be called by your file you have available here. I could be wrong but I am just comparing the verdun to the flanders terrain.

 

This si a great idea and keep on it, cant wait to get some planes on the fields !!

Third line FC. :biggrin: You are correct. You have to add the lod's and bmp's from the Flanders Terrain and also both the Targets and Types inis Christian has modified.

 

Speaking of the Target.ini, Christian...what are those references to "No man's land" etc.? They don't appear in the "stock" targets.ini?

tailspin is right drop the wwiverdun types and target in wwiverdun folder

 

and all the lod's, bmp's of static plane that come from flander's terrain

 

and for the no man's land i m sorry i don't know

 

i m just a good cut and pas man not a real worker

Yep got it going here too. Even caught a screen with a few of the Ground crew on site and working on the planes.

Trying to do this for the Vogesen terrain. Question: Do the static planes need to be in the Aircraft folder? I would not think so, but since I cannot see the planes on the fields want to eliminate this as a possibility.

I would love to see plane s on the airfields but im a little confused what I have to copy from the Flanders folder and paste into the Verdum folder. all the BMPS & LODS files or what Many thanks.

Hi all,

I don't see the static aircraft when running the Verdun terrain. This is what I've done thus far:

I tried many things, but this finally worked for me. Be sure to add the the [TargetTypes056-067] from the Flanders_Types.ini to your Vogesen (or whatever)_Types.ini. I renumbered them, but it may not be necessary. May go back and see if any other [TargetTypes] from Flanders may be useful in Vogesen.

Everything (LODs, BMPs) goes in the Vogesen terrain folder. Then you have to add the applicable section from the Flanders_Types.ini to the Vogesen_Types.ini and also the entry pertaining to the aircraft from the Flanders_Targets.ini to each airfield in the Vogesen_Targets.ini. Everything must also be the correct number sequence according to your Vogesen .ini files. Don't copy the entire files just the parts you need to get the airplanes working.

You can mix and match aircraft by changing Type= line in the Targets .ini to one of those listed in the Types .ini. Remember the numbers have to be in sequence with your .inis.
