CobraA Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Is there any guide to carrier landings? ILS setting how to target the Carrier etc.
+SayethWhaaaa Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Is there any guide to carrier landings? ILS setting how to target the Carrier etc. At the moment AFAIK, there is no way to target the carrier (although you can view the carrier with F6 or F8, can't remember). Are you having problems finding the carrier when returning from a hop? The waypoints are static but the carrier is not (hence there being no carrier when you return). I've found that if you fly near to the carrier and then use the waypoint skip, the carrier resets to where it should be.
+DWCAce Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I usually find the carrier by using the a/g radar ( if the plane has it). All approaches are CASE 1 (visual).
Guest Saganuay82 Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Expand on your CASE explanation please Mr ASE.
+Crusader Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 CASE 0 = blindfolded vertical inverted flatspin approach
+Typhoid Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Expand on your CASE explanation please Mr ASE. case one is carrier lingo for VFR conditions and a visual approach
+Typhoid Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I usually find the carrier by using the a/g radar ( if the plane has it). All approaches are CASE 1 (visual). also, once you hit the last waypoint the "TACAN" points to the ship.
