+Dels Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 I posted this over at Simhq, but for the benefit of those that don't frequent it... I am almost finished an upgrade of my C-130J-30 including a fully functional 3D virtual cockpit. Here are the upgrades with Version 2.0 and some pics... The main changes/additions to the model in Ver 2.0 were: - Added all the antennas and aerials to the top and bottom. - Added pitot probes either side of the nose - Moved the landing gear pods forward. (The old model didn't look "stretched" because the pods were too far back.) - Reshaped the tail and dorsal fin. (Also didn't look right) - Cleaned up the Wing/Fuselage interface. - Fixed the landing gear shock animation and made it so the rudder will turn the nose wheel on the ground. - Extended the cargo compartment inside the aircraft and added two new pallet positions. - Modelled the MAWS sensors on the nose and tail. - Fixed the flight model to more accurately resemble that of a Herc. - Added two external hardpoints for external fuel tanks. - Fixed the texture mapping on the control surfaces. - New Hangar and Loading screen. C-130J-30: New Cargo compartment: HUD: Cockpit: Once this is released, it will hopefully be closely followed by a C-130J and C-130H non stretched version.
Nicholas Bell Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Excellent. Wow, it's like a candy shop around here! Had no idea the Herc had a HUD in the cockpit...very interesting.
+Dave Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 This is just awesome to be sure and the pit is sweet. Looking forward to this.
Silverbolt Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Very, Very, very very goood! one question: will have a way to drop cars, apcs, tanks or supplies like in real life?
gerald14 Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Man that pit looks sweet!!!! I see that you worked on that skin.
arf16 Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Very nice, its about time someone made a decent pit for the Herc
+Dels Posted September 5, 2007 Author Posted September 5, 2007 Those are "Daisy Cutters" in the back and it will have the ability to drop anything that you want to put in there with a bit of ini editing. The C-130J/J-30 was the first C-130 to incorporate a HUD. As well as a few other goodies up the front.
Guest Saganuay82 Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Can you make some working pallets for the Herc package? Those who would like to do a LAPES have to use Daisy Cutters for now. Well and the odd modded BMP or jeep but no parachutes.
GASCAN39 Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 this one will be outstanding! can't wait......
