  1. AH-64 Package for SF2 Ver 1.1

    Version

    4,680 downloads

This is my AH-64A Apache and AH-64D Longbow Apache for SF2. (should work in Gen 1 but is untested) DDS skin version and Photoshop templates are also included. Please read the readme.txt. Glad to finally get this one out there. Enjoy! Dels VERSION 1.1 CHANGES/ADDITIONS ----------------------------- -New cockpit glass reflection texture. -Changed AGM-114L to CGR and added Hellfire rails to the 3d model to overcome the issue of engaging moving targets. (Thanks to WhiteBoySamurai for this idea and thanks to FastCargo for letting me use the 3d model of his Hellfire rail) -Changed loadout types so the AH-64A cannot be loaded with the AGM-114L Longbow Hellfire. -Changed the Specular and Glossiness levels to make the skin look more matt. -New hangar and loading screens. -Some FM and performance tweaks. (Thanks to EricJ for some suggestions) -Completely new M261 model made by me. I have also made the M260 rocket pod, Hydra rocket with a M229 warhead and Hydra APKWS with a M151 warhead. For mode info and details on the APKWS look here: http://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/apkws-ii-hellfire-jr-hydra-rockets-enter-sdd-phase-02193/

This is the F-23A Black Widow II as if it had won the ATF competition. This is Version 2.0 which now has a fully working 3d virtual cockpit and two extra internal hard points giving a total of 6 AMRAAMs internally. Read the F-23A readme.txt
  5. Voils is a short version of voilure which is French for aerofoil. So I guess the left button jettisons the fuselage stores, the middle button jettisons the wing stores and the right button jettisons the fuel tanks? Dels

  8. G'Day All, This post has been a long time coming, but I thought it was appropriate in the wake of the 60th anniversary of the Hercules' first flight. I am in the process of upgrading all my Hercules models to one standard. Having a critical look at what was my very first 3d model (originally built over 8 years ago), I was not impressed. Basically 95% of the model will be replaced by a high poly version with additional detail and animations. Where possible, I will be using the same texture mapping positions but unfortunately to get the full benefit of the new model, new skins will need to be made...sorry to everyone who has worked hard on their C-130 skins. The good news is that I will be releasing the Photoshop templates also, so the extra work shouldn't be too hard. Anyway, below are some comparison pics with the before shot on the left (2006 model) and after on the right (2014 model). I plan to upload more comparison shots and eventually in game shots as I go. 12. I'm not sure if this will work, but I think that the format of the file names of the LODs needs to match the ThirdWire format. So yours should probably be: [LOD001] Filename=ALQ-184_3Band.lod Distance=3 [LOD002] Filename=ALQ-184_3Band-002.lod Distance=10 I could just be making stuff up, but it's worth a try. Dels
  13. Yes, what you suggest is possible. I did it with the canopy bow in the cockpit of the Mitsubishi F-2. The main issue you might get is with the clipping distance. Depending on how close the items are to the PoV they may disappear as you pan around the cockpit. Also, you'll get the standard issues with the open cockpit (smoke inside the cockpit). Dels
  14. Hi Russ, I have also tried this in the past and was unable to have different texture sets for the cockpit model. The way I got around it was to build the detailed cockpit component into the external model and use the open cockpit=true function - this way it will use the aircraft texture. It's a bit fiddly getting it to work and you'll have the issues associated with the open cockpit, but I think it will get you what you want. Dels
  15. I think what you mean is something like an 'attention getter' light - which you would cancel and then deal with the issue/malfunction. I have tried to work this a couple of times. The best approach I have found is to create multiple copies of the attention getter light(s) and then link them to the individual warning lights so that they come on when the warning light comes on. The only problem is that you can't cancel it and any subsequent warnings wont set it off. Dels

  20. Yes, as you have mentioned, this is correct. This is called an 'uncaged' HUD where the pitch ladder is centred around the flight path marker (FPM). It serves to highlight that the direction of flight is different from where the aircraft is pointing. A 'caged' HUD is usually used on larger aircraft where the pitch ladder is centred around the climb dive marker (CDM) or waterline/pitch reference symbol (PRS). Dels
  21. G'Day all, Just uploaded an update which now includes the PC-21 cockpit. Should be available soon (once it's approved). Read the readme.txt for installation notes and known issues. Dels
