jaeger_301 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 hello just drop one of SPEECHSYSTEM.ini in your flight folder and the speech will be greatly improved have a good flight it work with all TK game excep First Eagles excellent mod, thx for uploading location of the file is: program/WOV/flight/SPEECHSYSTEM.INI thats it, enjoy greatly improved comms. i installed mod nr 2 and finally the AI knows there callsign and the radiocalls make sense Jaeger
ziker Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Great work, The Radio Chatter is actually useful now. I now know who a "SAM launch!" call is actually aimed at. Instead of mostly ignoring the radio that keeps on shouting warnings for stuff that happening miles away to a different flight, now I know when it is my wingman or other element that is in trouble. This little .ini upgrades the whole game. on any mission in any plain you'll benefit from the extra info the radio now offers. Information is power. the 2nd high detail option is far more detailed, but can get cluttered in high intensity combat. especially in SAM rich environments. A2A missile launch alerts are still not personalized so you still don't know who's supposed to break. You or some guy 300 miles away. So there's still room for improvement. Enjoying this one very much,

Enjoying this one very much, So I'm assuming the 1st one is the one that's been around for a while, where they put a one, two, three, or four in front of the SAM launch warnings...? Is this correct? Can you be more specific about how the second one differs from the first? Are flight call signs added as well? "More detailed" isn't very descriptive...

Yes the first one only has numbers to recognize who the message is for. The seccond has much more detail. Yes they say the flight name the message is for. you get messages like: "Anvil Lead, SAM Launch, 2 O'clock 8 miles". "Zeebra Lead, Bandits, 11 O'clock, 6 miles, Low". "Oyster 3, Bandit on your six, Break left! Break left!" I'm writing this from memory so it may not be perfect recal, but you get the idea. It's a very small download, and extreemely easy to install and uninstall. Just add one of teh two supplied .inis to your flight folder to try it, and remove or rename to disable. Give it a try and see if you like it.

+Spectre_USA Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Thanks for bumping this, Macchi man! I have had some issues with ODS calling odd things, I reckon this will perk it up! Maybe an add for the next update to ODS?

FrankD Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 What an helpful mod Christian59! However, I'm not able able to make it work with SF2 series. I put it in my "mod folder"'s Flight folder but the comms structure isn't affected ingame. Am I doing something wrong? Best regards
