Hello all.

Well, after many delays I finally start to build my first campaign from scratch :biggrin: . It's a campaign for WOE, using the great Libyan terrain made by Wrench and many others add-ons available on the net.

The campaign is on Alfa stage and I'm facing some troubles that I could not found how to fix them, so I hope that the experts could give me a hand.

The first problem happens with the VF-102 and VF-143 (F-14). If I put any of these units like AirUnit001, they visually works fine, all decals are showed on the correct places. But if I change the order of AirUnit to any value, eg. AirUnit002 or AirUnit003, only a few decals are visible. What I can't understand is why all others F-14 units work fine. Just this two units have this problem, and what's the solution? :dntknw:

Here is the definition of the VF-102, the VF-143 is similar.

[AirUnit072]

AircraftType=F-14A

UnitName=VF-102 Diamondbacks

ForceID=1

Nation=USN

DefaultTexture=VF102

BaseArea=Charlie Station

CarrierBased=TRUE

CarrierNumber=66

BaseMoveChance=0

RandomChance=100

MaxAircraft=12

StartAircraft=12

MaxPilots=16

StartPilots=16

Experience=100

Morale=100

Supply=85

MissionChance[sWEEP]=90

MissionChance[CAP]=100

MissionChance[iNTERCEPT]=100

MissionChance[ESCORT]=90

MissionChance=0

MissionChance[CAS]=0

MissionChance[sEAD]=0

MissionChance[ARMED_RECON]=0

MissionChance[ANTI_SHIP]=0

MissionChance[RECON]=0

UpgradeType=NEVER

The second problem is the Mirage 5DE and Mirage F1. They don't load the missiles and bombs. I made a country specific aircraft, change the weapons stations to WP and change the bombs and missiles on the Loadout to "Egyptian" versions, that's defined on Weapons Pack like belonging to Warsaw Pact, but no joy. The Mirages are fighting pretty well and already got some kills, with guns only :clapping: .

Here's a sample of the Mirage 5 Weapons Stations from Data.ini:

[CenterStation]

SystemType=WEAPON_STATION

StationID=1

StationGroupID=1

StationType=EXTERNAL

AttachmentPosition=0,-1.2,-0.94

AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0

LoadLimit=550.0

AllowedWeaponClass=SAHM,CGR,RCN,ARM

AttachmentType=FRANCE,WP

ModelNodeName=CenterPylone

PylonMass=34.02

PylonDragArea=0.02

;SpecificStationCode=R530

[CenterStationNuc]

SystemType=WEAPON_STATION

StationID=2

StationGroupID=1

StationType=EXTERNAL

AttachmentPosition=0,-1.32,-0.90

AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0

LoadLimit=700.0

AllowedWeaponClass=NUC

AttachmentType=FRANCE,WP

ModelNodeName=CenterPyloneNuc

PylonMass=34.02

PylonDragArea=0.02

And Mirage 5 Loadout:

[AirToAir]

Loadout[01].WeaponType=EYG R-530F

Loadout[01].Quantity=1

Loadout[07].WeaponType=M3_SRP500C

Loadout[07].Quantity=1

Loadout[05].Quantity=1

Loadout[06].WeaponType=M3_RP1300C

Loadout[06].Quantity=1

And last, but not least, when the F-8E from the Aeronavale is selected, the sim load the A-6 Intruder page for the briefing of the mission, and when load the aircraft to flight, load the libyan Mirage F1 (with missiles) :blink: .

Ok, fixed the second problem. I create a copy of the egyptian weapons, changing the country for Libya. Now my Mirages are fully equiped to fight.

But the others problems, with the decals of F-14 and the French F-8 continues.

If someone have any idea, I'll appreciate.

Thanks

for the If its only happening with the F-8 then open the f8.ini and check

[AircraftData]

AircraftFullName=F-4E Phantom II

CockpitDataFile=F-4E_cockpit.ini

HangarScreen=F-4E_hangar.bmp <------

LoadoutImage=F-4E_loadout.bmp <------

If not try creating a new pilot and new campaign and see if it works then

Not fully sure what you are doing here the [AirUnitxxx] must run in sequence with no duplicates.

Is their a reason it cant use AirUnit001 ?

Hi, MigBuster!

It's only a matter of organization. I put my units grouped by Air Base. I already adjust the AirUnits to put the VF-102 as AirUnit001. The problem with the VF-143, that's the same of the VF-102 was solved changing the squadron by the VF-74. Not exactly accurate ORBAT, but now all F-14 liveries works fine. :biggrin:

The F-8 Crusader I gave up. Every time you start a new campaign with him, you got a different aircraft on briefing screen and a different plane to fly. On the last try, they load the A-6 briefing, put the F-4 to fly and put the A-10 as enemy. Crazy!!! :crazy:
