+MadJeff Posted October 11, 2003 Posted October 11, 2003 Skater's back with us after being out for 2 months with wrist surgery and starts off with a full-fledged review of the DHS-Electronic Simped Vario F-16+ Rudder Pedals. So what did Skater have to say about this expensive piece of HOTAS kit? The Simped’s are produced in Germany by DHS-Electronic. They are the only unit’s that I know of, that have toe-brakes, and are produced to work specifically with the ThrustMaster HOTAS Cougar. The unit has a standard 15-pin gameport connector in order to hook directly into the Cougar stick’s base. This is also the most expensive pedal unit that I know of. At 270 Euros, this unit, at current writing, is just under $319 US. Quite a lot of money for a secondary controller. But for those that demand only the best for their sim hobby and for their Cougars, and absolutely have to have toe brakes, this is THE unit to get.
