+christian59 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 hello in the xxxxxx_DATA of the Terrain add [HeightOffset] NonTexturedMesh=-10.0 TexturedMesh=-5.0 DetailedMesh=0.0 LowDetailMesh=-1.0 ------------------ here WaterMesh=0.8 ------------------ here Quote
Wrench Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Blackbird, don't feel bad...the search function don't work for most people -- including me!!! Along with the fix christian posted, there are several other "issues" that have cropped up. Check in the "official patch Thread", sticked around here somewhere, and the "things you need to update thread", also stickied here someplece. There's been a LOT of discussion and listing of terrain fixes. Wrench kevin stein Quote

+drdoyo Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Hey Blackbird, there's a fix in the KB. Dave started it, and I added something which may help too. It took BOTH procedures to get rid of that in my terrains. Quote

+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted October 26, 2008 Author Posted October 26, 2008 (edited) Ok I used christians method ... seems that the shader disapear, have to look into the KB my terrain mehs looks like this for vietnam??? [TerrainMesh] TextureThreshold=0.80 LowDetailMeshThreshold=0.50 MedDetailMeshThreshold=0.30 TileToHeightGridRatio=4 RenderMeshVertexCount=16384 //12288 RenderMeshIndexCount=16384 SolidObjectVertexCount=16384 //12288 SolidObjectIndexCount=16384 AlphaObjectVertexCount=16384 //12288 //6144 AlphaObjectIndexCount=16384 //16384 aren`t those numbers high enough?! +drdoyo Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 yeah, those AlphaObject numbers are good. The HeightOffset entries should do the trick. but I'd still look at that post in the KB. POST SepPatch has less entries inder [HeightOffset] than before so just adding the two lines may cause problems down the road. Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted October 26, 2008 Author Posted October 26, 2008 The offset stuff solved the prob! thanks to all Quote
