Received an e-mail from the guy working on the Cobra for WOV. I'd sent him a photo of one that I flew. He is using that photo as the model now. It will look something like this:

it's quite a jewel of helicopter.

 

Can i ask you one thing, Sir?

 

someone told me that during Operation Desert Storm an enemy artillery shot exploded right down a Cobra, during flight, and it took an almost unconsiderable damage.

Thi, seems to me a bit strange.

i have always doubted about this story, but i'd like to discuss it with someone that really knows the matter, and actually flew the AH-1.
