I tried it ingame and the fps where somewhere between 45 and 90, so I don`t think its to much detail! There is still some space to improve some things

And one more thing... if anyone knows it...

I have a very large high detail BMP of a airplane i wish to make (TOP, FRONT, and RIGHT SIDE)

The problem is that 3dmax decreases the quality of BMP when i import it... How can i increase the quality of BMP plans...

Not meaning to go off topic, but quickly to answer Gunnar's question, 3DS Max reduces the resolution of maps in the viewports so that performance of the program will not get affected too much. If you make a render by hitting F9 you will see that your map still retains its full resolution.
