DaSpungie Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Hi after much searching and head scratching I need to ask I am redoing my woe and sfp1 installs. all installed and patch no problems now for the hard part adding the weps pack open and put in Weapons folder ok got that now when I run I get a screen flicker and ctd tried old weps folder from previous modded install and no weps show up at all if I open weps ini with newest wep edit then I get ctd after a screen flicker So in conclusion all i would like for Christmas is my modded games to work thank you and continue in good cheer and happiness for 2009 Quote
Tantobot Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 (edited) here is what I did from the start.....as you said 1. I installed WOE with most recent patches 2. I then downloaded the massive cumulative weapons pack here 3. After installing it I deleted the weapons.dat that came with it 4. I then downloaded the most recent weapons editors from the thirdwire site 4. I opened the weapons.ini file and then closed the weapons editor 5. I ran WOE and it has been working beautifully. Also you may need to make the weapons editor run in compatibility mode. Edited December 25, 2008 by Tantobot Quote

+Wrench Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Have you looked in the "Things You Need To Update Thread" and the "Official Patch Thread" above? Are you using the April 08 weapons editor? Have you set said 4/08 WE to "win95/98 compatibility''? I'm using the old Bunypak in post patch with no problems ... all you need to is open an entry with the NEW April 08 editor, and the the usual "open the entry, look at it, hit OK, and save" Works a charm Also, you just might have to extract the data and loadout inis, to make sure the AttachmentTypes and weapons names are correct -- as we have to do after every patch, all extracted object inis are disappeared. Basically, you start fresh Wrench kevin stein Quote
