delta6 Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 I was looking for the Nuke Flash file, so I can see the big boom! Not sure I understand your question? Quote
Silverbolt Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I was looking for the Nuke Flash file, so I can see the big boom! Not sure I understand your question? i wanted to know if you had some Nuclear explosion effect-because the stock effect folder doesn't have the nuclear explosion effect. you should found the flash here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=5271 or here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=6953 Quote
delta6 Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 Close, but I thought their was a Air Burst Nuke flash effect, not ground one like a B-52 dropping a bomb. Quote

delta6 Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 Dang your fast, let me see if I can make this thing work, or do the old CTD. Quote
Silverbolt Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 if you get ctd i can send my files Quote
Lexx_Luthor Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 mmm, careful here. I don't *think* I included the Smoke3 and Smoke4 tga files with this mod. For some reason, I thought they were game stock, but they were not. They are in the 3rd Party weapons pack back roundabout 2006.. ie... I need to re-upload this thing with these two tga files or you just see blank squares, unless you use a wep pack having them. Something like that. Quote
delta6 Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 Years ago, when the F-106 was released, the GENIE rocket had a nice Fireball when it went off. Somehow, I've lost that effect. Quote
Silverbolt Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 check if you have "AerialNukeEffect" in your effects folder. Quote
Wrench Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Fact checking in order.... There would be NO mushroom cloud on a AIR Burst detonation ... the cloud is generated by debris and cities and "other organic material" that gets sucked up into the atmosphere by the near-ground or at ground detonation. I'd suggest perusing the web, places like FAS.org or even this one... http://www.zvis.com/nuclear/nukimgs.shtml and brushing up on the subject at bit. --- The "aerialnukeffect' that came/comes with the bunyap pak works just fine for Genie. Been using it every since it first came out with no issues Wrench kevin stein Quote
delta6 Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 (edited) Wrench, as always your the HEAT. I don't think that effect is loaded in my game. Correct on the nuke effect, if you ever seen footage from Operation Plum Bob I think it is. Guys standing BELOW where the Genie went off that the F-89 launched. Can you give me a vector to bunyap weapons pack? Edited December 27, 2008 by delta6 Quote

delta6 Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 Thank You! Let me see if I can mess this up. Quote
Mike463 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Depending on atmospheric conditions and height of burst, a mushroom cloud would form. Numerous atmospheric test shots have shown this. When the fireball cools, it forms ice caps, bells, and skirts that will eventually dissipate into irregular cloud formations (with very little residual fallout). Lots of American, British, Soviet, and French tests show this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCz7lJvwb2M Cloud from Genie shot- http://www.geocities.com/usaf463/Genie.html Yours, Mike Quote
