Game wont work after re-installation

My computer crashed recently and I lost my heavily modified download of WOE. I reloaded everything the past two days but when I Tried to fly a single mission I got an error saying d3dx9 was not installed. So I reinstalled it and now the game itself wont even start. I know this is more of a computer problem but if anyone has any ideas I'd apreciate it. Thank Everyone.

have you looked at the events log in admin tools? it might be able to give you some clues

I believe that error is telling you to get the latest dx9
