Anthony W. Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 nice, now how did you get the canopy to open and close? Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 FC included this animation into this model via animation keys .. standart is shift 1-0 for the canopy it is shift 1 I think Quote
ch53fixer Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 did you add this cockpit addon as a "pilot" ??? and yes pleas post it Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 Yup via pilot method, will create for the D version the special HUD glasses and the blast curtains for the FB-111A. So each bird will have a more unique looks ;-) Quote
+Jarhead1 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 (edited) Why mess with it at all? Its kickass as it is. All involved busted their asses to make it a better mod, I personally dont look that close to the outside. I stick to the inside and fly it, lol. Edited January 26, 2009 by Jarhead1 Quote
Sakai Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Why mess with it at all? Its kickass as it is. All involved busted their asses to make it a better mod, I personally dont look that close to the outside. I stick to the inside and fly it, lol. Rgr that, but I tend to use outside views alot to help my situational awareness, and it help with the immersion when you can open and close the canopy. What kills it for me is when the canopy is stuck open when you start the flight, kills it for me. Quote
+ST0RM Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Post it. The more stuff we have, the better. If someone doesnt want to use it, then they dont D/L it. -S Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 I saw a HUD update in the new readme... nice to see they were thinking about it. Will take a look on this. I ever thought we all work together... but sometimes it seems like a wrong turn. I will work further on this and yes I like this statement... if you don`t like it don`t download it, and even if only a few people enjoy this bird with those parts it was worth the work and trouble I recieved here around. It`s a mod for us all. It`s not perfect but it works!!! Quote
kukulino Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I am not F-111 specialist (cos I like migs more ), but according your screenies it looks very nice/interesting  By the same way (mean faked pilot method) you excellent improved look of my Czechoslovak S-105/Mig-19S mod Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 Thanks for some positiv comments on this, work continues Quote
+Jarhead1 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Ok, let me clear the air on my end, ok, gents? First of all, I wasnt saying OH ITS A BAD IDEA, DONT DO IT. My opinion is just that, MY opinion. I said above that its a damn good model as is because i dont want to hear others saying that people are rivet counting and start that drama again, and piss of modders. Does anyone else? Second, if u wanna do addons like that blackbird, more power to ya, thats ur time, and have fun, modding is modding, even if its little bits and addons, cause if not, no one would mod, since thats how modders started the profession. Lastly, like I said above, I dont pay that close of attention to the outside of the aircraft, my attention is geared more towards the inside of the cockpit, cuase u cant fly if ur not in the pit right? Anyways, like I said, that was my opinion, and we all know what opinions are, so before everyone goes nuts cause of a comment, settle down, step back a second and just relax. Have fun and I will be back to see whats up with ur progress blackbird. Cheers, Jarhead Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 For me it`s solved, I have fun to create some small details you can see on the second look, its an "Aha effect!" a small suprise and you can see this a small contribution to this Bird ;-) Will search this evening for those blast curtains.. how they look and were build in Quote
GwynO Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 For me it`s solved, I have fun to create some small details you can see on the second look, its an "Aha effect!" a small suprise and you can see this a small contribution to this Bird ;-) Will search this evening for those blast curtains.. how they look and were build in You know what would be a great Aha factor? A ccip to stand in for the lacking systems. Before the reality police rain down on that idea with calls of "it wasn't like that irl" maybe not but it defintley wasn't a case of dumb bombs, dumb gunsight, dumb dive bomb run precision calculated and non negotiable to within 10kts, 10ft and .01 of a nautical mile, it just would help in my mind to make this already great model much better. The visual work on the model is fantastic, the flight model was and still is great to fly, I only wish we could do so much more with the plane than hope the bombs hit, surely the real Vark crews had more faith in the machine than to work out/guess their pickle point manually? Quote
GwynO Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 And I'm not rivet counting, quite the opposite, I'm amazed by the visual quality, truely a work of art. But like Jarhead, I tend to prefer being in the office when moving mud, so for me, it's not what it looks like that clinches it but what it does. Having said that, I still think the (real) super bug is fugly. Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 flash curtain for the FB-111 and don`t ask why this plane flys with open pit ;-) cause of fresh air. Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 in the first post there is link where all vark pits are represented I used it as reference Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted January 27, 2009 Author Posted January 27, 2009 Here a pic of the curtains Quote
