As far as I know, you need to double-click the new weapon, don't change nothing, just press "ok" and then "save" and close.

With the compatiblity problem, just click with the right-mouse-button at the weaponeditor, then go to "Properties" then "Compatibility", mark the option " Run this program in compatibily mode ", then choose Windows 95/98, and you are ready to go...

To answer the question, make you're

1) using the PROPER weapons editor (has an 08 date to the exe) and

2) you've set compatibility mode to Win95/98, and

3) You actually HAVE a weapons sub-folder to your /Objects folder and the weaponsdata.ini and weaponsdata.dat files exist therein

There's a whole tutorial, illustrated, in the KB on how to use the weapons editor....it's the same for both pre and post patch.

dalletoretdu, the step you missed is the one that pablitovpt pointed out. You have to "edit" that new weapon or tank without changing anything - or change something if you want to - and then save, then close.

You are set up the same way with XP that I am and you run through those steps correctly.

the weaponeditor don't work propely if i use compatibility mode, because i press open and the weapon editor have a CTD.

but i don't know how to add weapon, i create a folder called typhoon tank in the weapon folder, next i add the line to the .ini file... and next i open the .ini file with the weaponeditor, i press edit on the tank and i hint ok... i save... i try to play.. but in the game now i haven't weapon!!!!!
