+hgbn Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Finally created my own set of decals. But I have some trouble getting them to show up on the aircraft. [Decal010] MeshName=fuselage_front DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=F-104G\RDAFF-104GESK723\d\NUM Position=4.8,-0.070 Rotation=0.0 Scale=2.0 DecalMaxLOD=3 my decals are named NUM000,NUM001 etc. according to the numberlist. If I call out a specific decal it shows. What are I doing wrong??
+hgbn Posted March 25, 2009 Author Posted March 25, 2009 decal level for numbers is 2, not 0. Thanks try it out imediately
+hgbn Posted March 25, 2009 Author Posted March 25, 2009 Thanks it worked!! What are the other level for??
ndicki Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Level 0 is for nationality markings - INSIGNIA and FINFLASH will get you the markings that correspond to the nationality settings, either in the data.ini or the TextureSet.ini. Level 1 is for technical markings such as ejection seat triangles, intake markings, etc.
Shaolin Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Close, but not entirely true: 0 = Nation ID 1 = Squadron ID 2 = Aircraft Number 3 = Kill Number (from TW's Decal Tutorial) If you want a decal to show up always (not bound to AC number, etc.) use a decal with level 2 and no number for the decal - if the program doesn't find one with the correct number (like num001) it searches for the basic one (like num)!
