I have installed a new aircraft in SF2, for this example "G91R1" and "Skin_5 AB" for it.

Well, I have put:

1) "G91R1" folder in C:\Users\<my username>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects\Aircraft

2) All the files of the Weapons folder into C:\Users\<my username>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects\Weapons

3) "Skin_5 AB" folder in C:\Users\<my username>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects\Aircraft\ G91R1

Now, when I start the game, the G91R1 aircraft, appears without decals and standards!! :blink:

Where I was mistaken?? :dntknw:

The problem is only for decals and insignia, all the rest works!!

Thanks in advance!!! :wink:

(This is one option)

With SF2 you can create a decals folder (inside your objects folder) and just put them in there. Your decal.ini will then just need to point to the decal

[Decal001]

MeshName=Tail

DecalLevel=0

DecalFacing=LEFT

FilenameFormat=8RoundelBars

Position=-3.800,0.000

Scale=2.5

DecalMaxLOD=4

I don't quite understand.

With SF2 you can create a decals folder (inside your objects folder) and just put them in there. Your decal.ini will then just need to point to the decal !!! :good:

If my decals.ini , is for example, this...

[Decal002]

MeshName=GNose

DecalLevel=2

DecalFacing=RIGHT

FilenameFormat=EA-18G/VAQ140/D/NUM

Position=7.356,0.20

Rotation=0.0

Scale=0.60

DecalMaxLOD=2

Becomes this;

[Decal002]

MeshName=GNose

DecalLevel=2

DecalFacing=RIGHT

FilenameFormat=NUM

Position=7.356,0.20

Rotation=0.0

Scale=0.60

DecalMaxLOD=2

and, if my decals.ini is for example this...

[Decal007]

MeshName=Engines

DecalLevel=0

DecalFacing=Left

FilenameFormat=EA-18G/VAQ140/D/

Position=-6.6,-0.20

Rotation=

Scale=0.3

DecalMaxLOD=3

Becomes:??? :dntknw:

AGOSTINO,

Decals in SF2 are quite easy, but yet confusing to those that are used to the "Old Ways".

If You have created a "Decals" Folder, Then inside that Folder, create a Folder called "GR91R1". Inside that Folder, create one more called "Skin_5". Put all .TGA's in that Folder.

Now in Your Decal.ini, delete all "/D/" Entries, then go fly and see what shows up....
