Bevington 0 Posted April 4, 2009 I have repeatedly tried to install Over Flanders Fields into my DVD ROM drive, but I keep getting a message "Insert disk into drive D", even though the disk is in there! Can anyone give me some help. Is there something wrong with my drive or the disk? Regards, Bevington
+Polovski 460 Posted April 6, 2009 Hi Bevington, sounds like a bad DVD or maybe your DVD drive cannot read it for some reason. Can you try on another PC to check the DVD ? If it still does not work contact Avangate (see your order email) and explain you cannot read the DVD and need a replacement.
Cerdwin 0 Posted July 21, 2009 Didn't wanted to create a new topic and looks like I am a very lucky one...pissed off lucky one... After 2 weeks of waiting my copy of OFF arrived today in North Germany but unfortunately it is not possible to copy the files from DVD to hard drive or to install it directly from the DVD. I tried it on 3 different computers/hard drives without success. I can see several scratches on the back side of the disk. Another very good reason to have an opportunity to download all files. Now I will have to wait another 2 weeks and that sucks big time :(

Check Six 2 Posted July 21, 2009 (edited) Bevington, I just want to make sure you're attempting to install correctly. First of all, insert the OFF DVD into your hard drive. When it starts up, it will interrogate you about how you wish to provide the NECESSARY files from M$ CFS3. If you have that flight sim on your hard drive (ie already installed) you can choose to copy the needed files from your hard drive. If CFS3 is NOT installed on your hard drive, it asks you to insert disc 1 into the drive. Are you certain that it is the OFF disk that the computer is asking you to insert, and not CFS3? If it asks you to insert CFS3 into the drive, and you are inserting OFF DVD, it will read an error. Check that your procedure is correct, and get back to here if you're still having trouble Edited July 21, 2009 by Check Six
HomeBoy 1 Posted July 21, 2009 Isn't it also true that CFS3 must be version 3.1 in order to install as you describe? If you have 3.0, you have to first install CFS3 and update it to 3.1, then install OFF. I can imagine that you would get an error of some sort if you are prompted for CFS3.1 disk and try to use CFS3.0. I don't know this from personal experience since my copy of CFS3 is 3.1 but that is what I understand. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Check Six 2 Posted July 22, 2009 Homeboy, I do believe you are correct, but I'm in the same boat as you...a few of the lucky ones to have a copy of M$ CFS 3.1 version (but not lucky enough to have a DVD version that runs without the disk inserted). There's another thing you could try Bevington. Install M$ CFS-3 first, check what version it is. If it isn't version 3.1, download and install the patches to bring it to 3.1 version, then attempt installation of OFF.
