Hauksbee Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 In the matter of skinning, I see much on Photoshop and Alpha Channels...but will the process support Bump Maps? Quote
+Olham Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Bump maps? (Disco beat on:) Dooo the bump, doobidooahh! Do the bump - doobidooo! Do you really mean bump maps - never heard of that? If you mean bmp (Bitmaps): yes, Photoshop deals well with them. Convert the dds skin file into a bmp file, and you can work in it. Later, reconvert it into dds. With DXTBmp for example - free download; must google it. Quote
+FastCargo Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Bump mapping refers to a technique to make objects appear to have detailed polygons that don't actually exist. The sim would have to support the function to begin with. I don't know if Adobe supports that or not. FC Quote
