Duce Lewis 3 Posted April 25, 2009 Flew a front line patrol mission today Watched about 8 Spad 13's bounce our lead flight of 4 D7's Seemed like it took forever but we caught up and joined in the fray Bagged 4 of the Frenchmen then we formed up and headed for home Lost 1 from our flight but my WM Viktor Stemmler and our flightmate Hans-Werner Schiering made an uneventful return On approach I dropped down and landed while they flew on On a hunch, I selected Player Target View and watched their flight They went out of range (>4 mi) but to my surprize turned 180 and headed back Realizing that they were going to land, I refired my mill and parked her next to a hanger They made a low approach over the top of the hangers and touched down Beautiful, great immersion ...til the #2 ran into #1 and they both went up in ball of flame! Oh well, maybe next time We'll drink to their memories in the canteen tonight :drinks_drunk:
Olham 164 Posted April 25, 2009 Well, Duce, the part after touchdown is problematic; they seem to loose the ability to "know" were the others are. But in my case (see thread "Halberstadts happily landing"), it almost all worked well. They rolled in various angles, so they couldn't collide.
