navychief 1 Posted December 27, 2003 The carrier is FD3, and the Corsair is from Alphasim. My favorite carrier-based aircraft to fly is the EA-6B Prowler. Handles very well, and its speedbrakes can slow the aircraft very quickly. As for why the aircraft is so colorful? Well, this particular A-7 is sporting the colors of VA-25, the "Fist Of The Fleet". Back during the Vietnam era, all of the US Navy aircraft were painted colorfully. Nice to look at, but the Corrosion Control workcenters (who painted them) hated it! I will say this, though. The old paint schemes were easier to keep clean. The paint they use now is too darn porous. Very hard to remove dirt and grease. Navy Chief Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
