OvS Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 As many of you have already read, AVSIM took a massive hit from a hack team and may have been completely wiped it out. As a simple extention of support, please stop by and let them know you are behind them in whatever manner you can. We're all in this together, as we're all flight enthusiasts, whether you're a MACH II Fighter Jock or a Wood and Fabric 'Crate' Flyer, lend then some support. http://linux.myalbemarle.org/forums/index.php For anyone that was a user of their file database, you know the extent of the loss is MASSIVE. Personally, I do, and it's a sad day to see it all gone. I hope they can recover from this. This is what it's all about. So please show some support! All the best, James 'OvS' Quote

+column5 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Wilco!.... And how safe are we here I find myself asking? No system open to the public is completely safe, but CA has the advantage of having a tech-savvy owner (MK2) and an excellent, dedicated system administrator (Erik), so you can rest assured that all reasonable precautions are being taken.
