+Polovski 460 Posted July 13, 2009 We do not use different effects in QC or in the xdps but if you can consistently over many many tests always produce something different re damage in campaign verus QC then we can look at. Problem is there are an incredible amount of variables from people's PC's to settings hard to say after a few flights, it's x or y. Testing the DM takes a long time because of this. Also in Campaign many people may be against a wider variety of AI skill, so Ace shooting up a poor slow wingman poodling along would show damage much quicker as the Ace is much more deadly and accurate, and the other guy could be a poorer pilot and trying to run for example making an easier target , more hits... or cut to shreds by ground fire etc. I wouldn't test the DM versus an Ace best against novice or vet. Herr Prop-Wasche 7 Posted July 13, 2009 I wouldn't test the DM versus an Ace best against novice or vet. I agree. In QC testing, I always set up myself with one wingmate set to veteran vs. three or four AI set to veteran. In the campaign I just mentioned, the AI may very well have been aces. I was in Jasta 2 (Boelke) in April 1917 and we came up against Se5's. Not sure of the squadron, but they may have been elite, given that they already had Se5's so early.
