K-5 missiles as Air to Ground weapons

Hi. Sorry if I use english in Russian forum.

I want ot ask if you have some information about the use of missiles of the Alkali serie as air to ground weapons as I've seen in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82wwRj5G0TI.

Where at 1:30 min a Mig-21 fires 2 missile that seems K-5 at a ground target.

So I was wondering about the use of these kind of missiles. Maybe modified to be used in training as a less expensive unit instead of Kh-66 or Kh-23???

Similar to that the US done with the AGM-12 Bullpup. As a training missile they used a 127mm rocket converted with the guidance sistem of the AGM-12. http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-12.html

Really, Spillone104. Russian historians V. Markovski and K. Perov in his russian-language monograph "Soviet Air-to-Air missiles" write:

 

Missile RS-2US (Alkali) stay on arms MiG-21 and Su-9 fighters until early 1970s and after that use missile as air-to-surface weapon with guidance equipment switched-off and fixed control surfaces

1) RS-1(K-5),RS-3U/US(K-51) is Beam rider missille, they can be guided on ANY radio-contrast Target, no matter, air or ground;

 

2) Using RS-2U/US as AG role is optional, no GOOD result observed, test resume was 'CEP not correspond Warhead weight'

 

3) Kh-66 is Scaled RS-2US,and 'CEP is correspond Warhead weight' can be used only with R-22 & RP-21M radar.

 

4) on early 70 scepial pod's developped for use Kh-66 on Any plane, not accepted, because Kh-23 was on wide production.
