"New" FE2 at the RAF museum Hendon

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I don't know if any of you read flypast magazine, but an article in the Aug edition showed that theres a new FE2 at the museum, So off I went today to get a few shots of it for you all, I couldnt get as close as I'd have liked, as part of the walkway was cordoned off due to flooding last week, - GRRRRR

I've also included some of the shots of the Be2B that they have there also....

The RAF Museum was fantastic! I went there about 10 years ago and remember it vividly. The Spitfire wreckage in the sand was really cool... and coming face-to-face with an Me110 and Ju-87 was in itself an experience.

The WWI section was top notch, and it's nice to see they added the Fe2b painted as a Night Bomber.

Great stuff, thanks for the pics!

Thanks,

They have since moved the old Grahame White aircraft factory brick by brick to its new location in the museum grounds as it was going to be knocked down for housing, they've now put most of the WWI aircraft in there, The Be2b & the Fe2 are in the bomber command section of the museum.. theres about 3 others dotted around the other parts of the museum
