zoomzoom Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Awesome video find Olham. That bird definately had the fighter tactic down, attacking repeatedly from six o-clock. Pretty good maneuvering as well. She must have had a nest in the area and was chasing off "percieved threats". This sometimes happens. I have also heard of Hawks being territorial and attacking rc-gliders in thermals they favor. I've known a couple of glider pilots who had Hawks act as both friends (ie fly alongside and with your plane), and aggresors, diving in and actually striking the glider from height and damaging it with talons.
