+X RAY Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Ok I have just put all of YAP1 and 2 helos in my SF2 install,correcting rolling radius,put their weps systems working and so... But a strange thing happened when you decide to start your game in the ramp. Your Huey for example,working perfect,the others behind or beside u have their tail rotor on but the main off,same when they take off. If you start your game in flight no issues coming all rotors working. I know that somebody have convert Yap helos like me here,just to know suggestion if my issue can be solved! Thanks Quote

And for example: inside object folder there's a few files and .bmp set fe (like Army or Usmc or Crates,MISSILEOBJECT and so) For example ARMY and USMC go tho weapons folder into Armyassault and MarineAssault folders (created with merge option in KB) Their effects are in the MISSILEOBJECT,ok they're showing properly but effects are missing,what can I do to have 'em and with these free files that float into object folder? The Cobra Blades are a Known Issue. But the Hueys should be no Problem. All Mine work with the Data above, Plus others that I've sent it to works for them also. Lapes, Assault and other "Special" Effects work in SF2......I've got them working. All of them. There are Posts here that explain how to get them working. Example, Diego's Post on Lapes. I'm sorry I can't be of any futher Help. Had this been a "Freeware" Product, I'd bust My Tail to try to help You. But since it a "Commerical Product", I don't get compensated for fixing their Product. So I must refer You to Mr. John Shelton and YAP Team for any Support of their Product and compatibility questions regarding their Product. They get Your Money, They ought to help You out with Support.......If not....I'd stop buying...Call the better Business Bureau.... 331KillerBee Quote
+ravenclaw_007 Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 i have a similar problem with the Yap AH-1G the only difference is as soon as i touch the ground or if i try to take of from ground the tailrotor stops if i start in air no problem all rotors work fine i try to change the diameter of the tailrotor but no success Quote

You can try to email their support but since it's not YAP that's broke you will most likely need to figure it out on your own. Quote

You can try to email their support but since it's not YAP that's broke you will most likely need to figure it out on your own. sorry and my apologies i never say that the yap helicopters are broken it is more of a general problem with helicopters in the game i have the same problem with helicopters from capun as well and this is only a way of asking if somebody has found a solution to this problems as we all know now to change the diameter is one way to keep the rotor turning but for the tailrotor i have no solution found yet Quote

+Old Diego Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 The problems with YAP helicopters is that the FM is not built with the new SF2 game engine in mind. They are stuck in the older game engine and most likely won't be fixed due to FM creator laziness...maybe since YAP1 is no longer supported, you could consider it abandonware. If you have an engine/rotor that does not turn, look at the data within the multiple engines to see where it is located XYZ and either adjust the diameter or the location in the Z axis. This "should" fix the rotors stopping. I know because I have rebuilt my FMs to work under the SF2 engine with no problems. The UH-1s are very broken, BTW. They have lots of issues with the landing gear...known since they were released. Quote
