Can I use the SF2 B-52G/H gray skin on my SF1 B-52G/H

Recommended Posts

I don't have a gray skin for the SF1 B-52G/H pack. Will the SF2 ones work?

They should. Only the H went gray though. I don't think the G made it to all gray. At least I have never seen a pic of it in all gray.Or have I? Wait I think Castle AFB G's did.

Hey Dave I am sorry to say the SF2 skins don't work on the SF1 WO* B-52s. At least they aren't for me. The skin doesn't even show in the hanger arming screen. Bummer... Any ideas? I've directed everything I can to my B-52H folder and that didn't help either. Why would it not even be recognizing it?

Yes they do work. Have you checked all the ini's to make sure they didnt get converted to unicode? If they have then you need to just take the ini's from one of the SF1 Buff and rename accordingly.

How do I tell if they went to Unicode. I pretty did the same thing I did with every skin I have installed on WOE aircraft. Maybe I am missing this coding step in the ini. And which INI are you talking about? The textureset.ini that's in your skin folder?

Maybe we have some confusion there. All the skins are interchangable. Are the bmp names different from say the H skin to the G skin? I am not in front of my home computer so I can not recall.

They are not. The BMP names are the same as the SF1 camo skins that came with the B-52G/H package

Then must be a problem with the textureset.ini. Copy one from the SFP1 package and open it, then rename it accordingly to what you want the one from the SF2 package to say. See if that works.

I'm not at home right now, but I am going to check and see if the INIs are in ANSI code as soon as I get the chance. Something is telling me they aren't and that could be why. Thanks for your help so far Dave! good.gif

Got it! It wasn't in ANSI (the Textureset.ini).

Thanks for your help again Dave. The skins look beautiful on something so damned ugly. I love it! rofl.gif
