Also if you know that one of these guys isn't around anymore (or that they will or will not be OK with us using their), let me know as well. Thanks!
+Dave Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 You should be good with everyone on that list. Just give them credit. If anyone has a problem, (not saying there will be) I will handle it.
stingray77 Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Can you say something how well your enhancement might work with malibu43's great SF2V Air and Ground War Expansion Pack v1.0 already installed?
stingray77 Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 (edited) Can you say something how well your enhancement might work with malibu43's great SF2V Air and Ground War Expansion Pack v1.0 already installed? Oh, must have been sleeping: it's you yourself (malibu43) working on this new enhancement....... So, is it fair to say both will fairly well work together/v2.0 will be an "easy dub-install" to v1.0? Would be awesome.. Edited August 25, 2009 by stingray77
malibu43 Posted August 25, 2009 Author Posted August 25, 2009 Oh, must have been sleeping: it's you yourself (malibu43) working on this new enhancement....... So, is it fair to say both will fairly well work together/v2.0 will be an "easy dub-install" to v1.0? Would be awesome.. There are a TON of changes in v2.0. Like, a lot. Seriously... I can see if we can create some sort of upgrade package, but it would be complicated, as you'd have to go in and delete lots of individual files, folders, etc... Your best bet would be to back up your existing v1.0 folder, delete everything, and install v2.0. If there were things you had added to your install that are not in v2.0, go to your back up folder and re-install them. And thanks, Dave! That's a relief to not have to get all those permissions individually!
stingray77 Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Hum, wouldn't it be possible/a way out if one just installed v2 over the existing files (a backup of the old folder should be a no-brainer)? Any file already existing would be asked if it shall be overwritten, right? I guess it would be quite troublesome to identify all those mods that came with v1, as they have been extracted into all those folders (like "objects" for example) already... Anyhow: I am already VERY curious what will be in your v2!
