Gr.Viper 131 Posted October 1, 2009 I think these two guys beat Little Britain and The Fast Show hands down. At least they're not repetitive And simply bloody good! crl848 9 Posted October 1, 2009 It's a fact that they have some good sketches, though not all come off. They do radio as well, and their current series is on Radio 4 at the moment. If you like the Fast Show, have you tried Enfield & Whitehouse's reprise, Harry & Paul? Scaffolders http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCaDbpeUb9k I saw you coming (I live round there so this is close to home ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmyGJC5h4DM&NR=1 Notting Hill grocers (there are loads of these too) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trB5CSDmf1E&NR=
Gr.Viper 131 Posted October 1, 2009 They do radio as well, and their current series is on Radio 4 at the moment. "That Mitchell and Webb Sound" Series 4? Listened to it yesterday... Since R4 doesn't reach our parts, have to resort to dark places where people put up programs recorded off the air. Thanks to them I've enjoyed the whole series of The Burkiss Way and I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again. The Fast Show didn't really get me hooked... The shows with a large set of recurring characters feel kinda boring, 'cause the whole point of the sketch is clear after few first lines, and then you just wait for the punchline they've used a dozen times already. One or two such trademark faces are fine, but the whole program made out of them is way too much for me.
crl848 9 Posted October 1, 2009 Fair enough on the fast show. Back to M&W, I love their sketches on alternative medicine and religion. fantastic.
MigBuster 2,884 Posted October 1, 2009 (edited) Mitchell and Webb are best in The Peep Show - a realistic based comedy where you get to hear what the main characters are thinking and see views through their eyes. Dont think they wrote it but its easily one of the best Brit coms of the last 10 years. The content is not for kids!
