jaa Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 (edited) Got the game on Monday (just 8 days delivery to the UK). Wow its good. I have got so many things to write in praise of this game, but a few quick questions. 1. Went on a balloon buster with rockets. How do I fire them? Luckily one of my team-mates got it so all was ok. 2. Had to escort a bombing mission and just like the un-modded cfs3 the warp goes mental when you get close (next stage) to the target. In the un-modded WW2 I just avoided bombing escort missions. However in this game I would like the full experience if possible. Any idea how to overcome this? One critism. Its bl**dy annoying. I am busily trying to fly a WW1 plane and all these lunatics keep on shooting at me. :( Edited October 2, 2009 by jaa Quote
Red-Dog Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Hi Jaa, Nice to have you on board. with reguards to the rockets i've set it up on my joy stick , if you press Esc in game you will get a drop down menu which will let you do yours. By the way don't get to excited about them you could do more damage with a wet sponge......... Quote

For the escort, try "air start" (little check-box in the Briefing menue down right, where you choose the amount of fuel you want to take with you. Once in the air, stay with the bombers. Warping has gone recently "kaputt" somehow. You may try Warp, and get out of it earlier by pressing Ctrl. + X - perhaps the bombers are still there. But it's uncertain. It's better anyway to fly in real time, as you can get to the desired altitude, and the immersion factor is much higher. Of course, when you have to fly one hour to get to the front - fly German then. We have the short ways! (Lol!) Olham collects names and locations and is lovingly/painstakingly updating his OFF Map Of The World with everyone's location. Thinking about it, it might be handy next time I'm travelling internationally. I quite fancy the idea of saying hello/having a beer with other OFFers... Quote

Luckily one of my team-mates got it so all was ok Welcome aboard jaa, glad you're enjoyin OFF There is a 2 stage process to firing ordinance 1. You have to select the next weapon (bombs, rockets) 2. Fire the weapon I can't remember the actual commands as I've remapped everything Goto Esc\Controls\Weapons Commands and you'll find them The Select Next Weapon is easy to forget Many a time when I flew Brit, I remember diving on the target, hitting the fire button and nothing happens I always selected the ordinance right at take-off afterward HTH, Quote
