Like I said in another thread, that video has been debunked long ago as a fake. If you want to see a real looney toon, watch this guy. I witnessed this in Beaufort myself. Awesome!

If it's a fake, it is pretty well made. And those stunt pilots of today

seem to try to top each other in anything.

Holy smokes, that Pitts takeoff was the most incredible I've ever seen. Awesome.

According to his website, the Pitts S-2S weighs 1500 lbs and the engine generates 400+ horsepower. Rate of climb is 4000 fpm and max speed is 240 mph. Cruising speed is 175 mph. Just give me five of these, armed to the teeth, in OFF and I'll change the outcome of WWI!

The landing bit is particularly phoney. Parts of the video are very obviously computer generated....good graphics for a computer sim but pretty lousy if trying to fool us that it is real life.

weeeell ok i agree the landing was rather clinical! But if a plane is on its side then the lift is generated by the tail-fin surface right? Given that the tail-fin surface is fairly large on that aircraft and clearly plenty of horsepower at the front end........ it still had me!
