Cameljockey 3 Posted October 9, 2009 Like I said in another thread, that video has been debunked long ago as a fake. If you want to see a real looney toon, watch this guy. I witnessed this in Beaufort myself. Awesome!
Olham 164 Posted October 9, 2009 If it's a fake, it is pretty well made. And those stunt pilots of today seem to try to top each other in anything.

itifonhom 6 Posted October 9, 2009 Can we have a Pitts with two Spandaus and crosses in OFF, let's say 1916? Please! Amazing Pitts video, awesome flying skills! itifonhom
JFM 18 Posted October 9, 2009 Holy smokes, that Pitts takeoff was the most incredible I've ever seen. Awesome.
Cameljockey 3 Posted October 10, 2009 According to his website, the Pitts S-2S weighs 1500 lbs and the engine generates 400+ horsepower. Rate of climb is 4000 fpm and max speed is 240 mph. Cruising speed is 175 mph. Just give me five of these, armed to the teeth, in OFF and I'll change the outcome of WWI!
77Scout 3 Posted October 10, 2009 Never have i seen anything like this, fair play to the man!! The landing bit is particularly phoney. Parts of the video are very obviously computer generated....good graphics for a computer sim but pretty lousy if trying to fool us that it is real life. jayo 0 Posted October 10, 2009 weeeell ok i agree the landing was rather clinical! But if a plane is on its side then the lift is generated by the tail-fin surface right? Given that the tail-fin surface is fairly large on that aircraft and clearly plenty of horsepower at the front end........ it still had me!
