how to add Mercs to campaigns?

We had a discussion about the mercenary campaigns over in the "know your aircraft" thread and Dave asked me to make it into a new post so here it is :)

 

Im running SF2E and im wondering if its possible to add a mercenary campaign to SF2E??

Ive searched for julhelms posts and all ive found that seems relative to this topic is the how to add a merc carrier. But its about SF2. Is it even possible to add Mercs to SF2E??

So ive deccided to buy SF2. Is the Mercenary campaign only in SF2 or is it in SF2V aswell? Can i merge SF2 with my current SF2E installation or do i have to install SF2 first then SF2E??

Merc squadron is a feature of SF2 campaigns only, although I can't think of anything that would prevent one from modding campaigns in other games to include them, 'cause game engine is the same. But I'm too lazy to extract data files an look for the entries

 

As for installing always follow order of release.
