Atreides Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Anyone here know if with the latest patched version of SFP1 there is a file which controls how often and just how many "static" aircraft are generated on an airfield ? If so which entry would adjust the number of a/c for an airfield or does that also depend on the size of the airbase. Reason I ask is that I just installed a clean SFP1 patched it to the latest patch level and installed over 40+ a/c but rarely see any aircraft showing up as static. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks in advance.
+Wrench Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Yes. Each airfield's data ini (or just plane ini <--get it! ) has statements on percentage chance and location. For small and large aircraft. Also, you 'GroundObject' setting have a great deal of control. If set to Unlimited, you get all kinds -included anachronistic parked birds too! (fer instance, if one forgets to take the Herc out of his Korean War install, it shows up in 1950!!) The airfield inis are to be found inside the various terrain cats (08 & NextGenns only). Extract and examine. You can increase the "chance" with a simple text edit. Be advised of frame rate issues with too many game-generated statics. wrench kevin stein
+331Killerbee Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 (edited) Along with what Wrench just said about the Percentages being adjusted in the Airfield.INI's, Also You can control what a "Large" and "Small" Aircraft is by adjusting the WingSpan Entry in the Airfield.INIs. They are in Meters. You can control the size of what gets parked that way. 331KillerBee Edited November 3, 2009 by 331Killerbee
