Olham 164 Posted November 6, 2009 It's his wet dream - he believes he could get a German craft down, if he had the Snipe. One day he'll have one - and it will be a bad awakening!

Oh, I am really going to enjoy myself when I do get a Snipe!...I shall stick one of those ridiculous looking spiked helmets You germans love so much, right up the Kaisers fat, hairy arse! Hasse Wind 46 Posted November 6, 2009 Eindeckers beware - Widowmaker plans to finally defeat you with his Snipe! Seriously speaking, I hope to see the Snipe myself in some add-on pack, maybe with the Pfalz D.XII. I can understand the appearance of the DH5 in the first add-on, because quite a few British squadrons used that plane in mid 1917. Currently you can't fly through 1917 in RFC 24, for example, because the DH5 is missing.
Olham 164 Posted November 6, 2009 Aaaahhh!!! There he is! Some good banter should bring some fresh wind into this autumn grey sleepiness! By the way - I never liked those picket helmets.
Bullethead 12 Posted November 7, 2009 By the way - I never liked those picket helmets. I believe the correct term is "pickle helmet", as in they had a pickled cucumber or perhaps a sausage stuck on a toothpick on top.

JimAttrill 24 Posted November 10, 2009 Anyone remember the German officer in 'Those Magnificent men in their Flying Machines'. He stood to attention when someone played Deutschland über Alles and punctured the gasbag of his balloon with his pickelhaube. Of course that film was a collection of stereotypes, but quite funny all the same. And I still remember the tune.
zoomzoom 2 Posted November 10, 2009 (edited) Pickelhaube, to be precise.....and I always thought they should start using them in the NFL just to spice things up a bit!! ZZ. He was the father of RAP by the way!! Edited November 10, 2009 by zoomzoom
