ConradB 0 Posted November 16, 2009 Finally got everything sorted out from the cross country move last January. Man it's bad in the Motor City. Or should I say, used to be Motor City. Just left the rig in storage as I didn't trust the neighborhood. Got my uncle up north of the city now about 50 miles. Just 5 miles west of Lake Huron. It's so rural here, there aren't any street lights to light the roads. Deer and turkey feed in the yard, which is a whoppin' 5 acres compared to the postage stamp property in the city. Good country folk up this way. So the first thing I did after getting set up online was order phase 3. Got the confirmation and everything so I hope it goes through quickly. (fingers crossed) So I'm looking forward to some good ole WWI flying again but with the game in all it's glory this time around.

Lived for a while in Oscoda, must be not too far north of where you ended. Enjoy the good life and be glad you are out of the rat race

ConradB 0 Posted November 16, 2009 Thanks guys! Living rural is fine with me. It's where I grew up before we went west. I like being my own "law" so to speak. But it's funny that we have a wirse issue with coyotes here than we did out in the Rockies. Beside the folks out here look out for each other. My neighbor gave me a 6 point buck saturday for letting them bowhunt on the land. His boys were helpful last May when we first got into the house. Lots of work that had to initially be done and all, and as a thankyou, I have 45 packages of venison in the freezer. Along with the pike and muskie, the largemouth, and smallmouth bass I caught when I was able to go out and fish, I'm almost set for the winter accept for the vegetables. So next year will be gardening too. Thanks for the tips uncleal! I do make a point of reading the FAQ's, and stickies, but that's not to say I won't miss something. When there are many pages, and ideas in them, you can only go so fast. One thing I' am thinking about is possibly upgrading my vidcards from the 2 8800 GTS 512's to 3 260 or 270 series cards for better vid performance though. With the Core2 Extreme quadcore X9650 and the 8 gigs of SLI ready on this monster, it might help to kick things up a bit, and with SH5 on the horizen. Yeah I like sinking ships, especially if they fly Union Jack ensigns, I may want the extra horsepower. The only thing that's been buggin' me is I can't get my HD's to run at the 300 data transfer rate that they claim they run at. I've double and triple checked my cables and jumper setting, and made sure the cables weren't kinked, but they will only run at the 150 transfer rate. Which holds my windows score back at 5.7, where everything else that's tested marks out at 5.9. If Icould just get the data transfer rates up, I think I could sqeeze a little more out of her. Anyways, Thanks again!

You don't need 3 260s, just mount twin vickers on it and fly your rig.
