Fubar512 1,350 Posted December 1, 2009 (edited) Nope. Once improperly opened, .lod files are toast. The only reason (or way) to modify a .lod file, is by using a hex-editor. And only then, to change .bmp or .tga texture-file associations. LOD files are generated by 3DS Max, using a special ThirdWire plugin. Darrin 3 Posted December 2, 2009 im back with a problem.an aircraft lod was attempted to be opened with adobe.ok now is there a way to reset the original program that reads these. it auto changes just the lod. not the out or any others. i dl the f 15e and once opened it shows the lod as an adobe.. 3 installs.and see no reminents but it changed every lod file in my aircraft folder and wepons folders. holy moly im stumped a feelig at a loss any and all help would be appreciated.
