AfterburnerNodeName=Afterburner_L AfterburnerEmitterName=F23AfterburnerEmitter <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< AfterburnerEffectSize=0.8 MinExtentPosition=-1.65,-3.80,0.63 MaxExtentPosition=-0.55,-6.70,-0.50 FireSuppression=TRUE And I have the F23AfterburnerEmitter.ini and F23AFTERBURNERFIRE.tga in the Effects folder, but it not work!!!
+FastCargo Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 (edited) Because the way the Dec 09 patch handles certain TGAs (HUD and AB effects) is slightly different. Learn how the effects are different (recommend extracting the stock F-15A AB effect) and then make the appropriate changes. We learn by doing. FC Edited December 21, 2009 by FastCargo
Spinners Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 You could just use a stock AB effect for now - they're pretty darn good! Or try a re-install of those two fine aircraft and see if the instructions remind you of what goes where (in case that's the problem).
+Spectre8750 Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Hay all First you need to add this line before anything else as below. [AfterburnerMaterial] EffectShaderName=twColor1.fx <---------------Add this Line in whatever AfterBurnerEffects ini your using. DepthBufferCheck=TRUE DepthBufferWrite=FALSE IgnoreRenderOrder=FALSE AlphaTestEnabled=FALSE LightEnabled=FALSE UseLightLevel=FALSE SpecularEnabled=FALSE EmissiveEnabled=FALSE AmbientColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 DiffuseColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 ZBufferOffset=2.000000 PriorityLevel=3 BlendOp=BLEND_INV_SRC_ALPHA_ADD_SRC NumTextureStages=1 TextureStage[01].TextureName=AFTERBURNERFIRE.tga TextureStage[01].MipMap=FALSE TextureStage[01].FilterEnabled=TRUE TextureStage[01].StageColorOp=TEXTURE_MODULATE_DIFFUSE TextureStage[01].StageAlphaOp=TEXTURE_MODULATE_DIFFUSE
+Spectre8750 Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 One More thing Make sure after the Dec 2009 update, make sure that you're not using and old PARTICLESYSTEM.INI in the Mods "Flight" Directory.

jomni Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) Sigh, so many changes which breaks the mods. Nothing major though but there's a lot of work involved. I'm getting tired. Edited December 22, 2009 by jomni
+sony tuckson Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 now, that's not a fair comment the changes don't break the mods The changes birng support to new technologies and improve the games yes, right after patching, some mods don't work anymore but there is most often than not a way to fix it....so it 's even better afterwards!
jomni Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Well broken thing can be fixed. Just don't want to continue fixing them myself. (Lazy) Yeah I'll just wait for people to upload an update.

This upload seems to do the same thing described above. http://forum.combata..._1entry370442 Now all I have to do is to add the line to all the effects ini that need them. Thanks for all the help everyone. Edited December 26, 2009 by jomni
