I am trying to bring a WOV WOE F-4B over to SFP2E.

I can get the aircraft over fine. However,No decals.

In the KB it says to list the skins(USNGrey1)plus the d file in the Mod Decals folder.

Problem is,no d file. Do I have to bring the entire decals folder over with it?

The decal.ini folder reads like this:

DecalFacing=RIGHT

As we used to say in the Marines: Could someone do a "By The Numbers" decal tutorial?

I mean assuming that the readers "Know Nothing". :dntknw:

 

I haven't flown Sim with modern aircraft in long time(Prophead)

,so I'm starting to get used to Mig-17's kicking my A--.

Oh,I'm not a rivet counter,would just like some decals. :good:

Do you know the decals you need? If you do, take them from the old sim and drop them into the decals folder of the new sim. Then you dont need the path just the decal name. Copy?

Stock Insignia's have been Re-Named in SF2 for the F-4's. Here's some of the Stock Decal.INI from SF2:

Well:

I've tried everything that you guys recommended and No Joy!

I'll just fly bare Navy and Marine aircraft.

I got this game to fly,not to be a computer programmer.

Not a bad idea,USAF.

I am just very frustrated with the new format.

I spent almost a whole day trying to get decals to work.

I'll ignore it for a few days and then get back into it.

I had to do the same thing when I first started modding SFP1,WOV and WOE.

I'll d/l an aircraft for 2ndgen and see what the procedures look like.

I'm also very frustrated at getting my a-- shot off by those @#$%%&*&&^$# Migs! The new AI is very dangerous,I just have to learn how to fly and win in the new sim.

Hey Ezlead, download one of the SF2 models converted from the SF1 series and also download the original SF1 series model. Take a look at the two files side by side, and it will make the whole process make a alot more sense. This approach will show you the before and after picture of what changes have been made.

It sure took the mystery out of the conversion for me!
